KILBY AUSTIN

Kilby Austin grew up in the United States singing hymns with her family, and she began to write her own hymns and poems in childhood. Over the years her work has appeared in various journals, including The Penwood Review, Anima: Poems of Soul & Spirit, and The Author’s Journal of Inventive Literature. Now she lives in the north of England with her husband and children, where they attend Durham Presbyterian Church. She works part time as a proofreader and freelance editor and writes regularly at https://kilbyaustin.substack.com

ROLAND ESKINAZI

Roland was born in Harare, Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) to an Egyptian couple.  His father Salomon was Jewish and had to leave Cairo during the Suez Crisis.   Roland left Zimbabwe for London in 1976 to train as a classical ballet dancer at the Royal Ballet School.  On graduating, he danced professionally with the Cape Performing Arts Board in Cape Town, South Africa for eight years.  Towards the latter part of that career he came to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus and enrolled at the Cape Town Baptist Seminary.  After a year as a National Service chaplain in 1990, Roland served as pastor in three churches in South Africa before being called to the International Baptist Church of Brussels in 2013. He obtained an MA in Biblical Counselling from the Master’s University, with the encouragement of Dr. Wayne Mack under whom he studied in South Africa.  Roland has been married to Hanlie his wonderful wife for 25 years, enjoys traveling and loves to remind his church family that Snoopy from the Peanuts cartoons is one of his favourite theologians.    

STEPHEN D. CAMPBELL

Stephen D. Campbell (PhD Durham) is the academic director of Aquila Initiative and lead pastor at the International Baptist Church of Bonn (Germany). Stephen grew up in a church-planting family in Houston, Texas, where they helped establish two thriving churches. After completing his university education, Stephen pursued degrees in Bible and Theology, which led him to Wyoming, North Carolina, and eventually to England. He and his wife, Beth, are proud parents to three children, and this book is dedicated to her. Following their time in England, Stephen felt called to minister in Germany, where he continues to serve in various capacities. His passion for ministry is characterized by a desire to bridge the gap between the church and the academy. In addition to his academic and local pastoral work, he is a fellow at the Center for Pastor Theologians and serves on the Church Multiplication Leadership Team of the International Baptist Convention. Stephen hopes this book will bless readers and equip them to read the Bible effectively while also fostering the discipleship of others in the truth.

THOMAS L. GRIFFIN

Thomas L. Griffin is the founder and executive director of the By Heart recitation ministry (https://byHeart.org) an organization with chapters in Germany, Kenya, the United Kingdom, and the US. Since 1997, Tom has trained hundreds-from individuals to large groups-in authentic and accurate recitation. With a background in physics and software consulting, Tom has lived in California, Belgium, Germany, and now Spokane, Washington. He is married to his best friend, and together they have two daughters.

CHIARA LANG

Chiara Lang has always been passionate about language and literature. She enjoys finding ways for stories to be told in a unique and artistic way. Since completing her bachelor’s degree in English and Art History, she has been working on her first own publication.

That aside, she keeps busy with working out, walking her dogs and reading. She is the editor and translator of Prisca Publishing and located in Germany. 

DAN TORO

Dan Toro is a visionary muralist and storyteller based in the stunning landscapes of Wyoming. With a passion for community engagement, he has transformed urban spaces across the country with his vibrant murals, infusing each project with local culture and history.

When he’s not painting or illustrating, Dan can be found mountain biking and downhill skiing in the beautiful wilderness of his home state. 

KRISTEN MARTIN

Kristen is the founder of Prisca Publishing and her passion for writing has led her to pursue the profession. She is a devoted mother of five and when she is not pouring into her family, and times allows, she nurtures her garden. Beyond writing and gardening, she relishes adventures with her church and family, valuing the moments that deepen their bonds.

She resides in the Rhine River valley in Germany, where every day is an opportunity to celebrate God’s creation. 

DAVID MARTIN

David Martin has over a decade of experience as a pastor of an international church. His tenure in ministry has given him a unique perspective on the diverse needs of congregations around the world. Inspired by the voices and experiences of those serving in various contexts, David recognized a significant gap in accessible resources for local churches. This realization fueled his passion and led him to establish a publishing company dedicated to providing valuable materials that reflect the insights and wisdom of ministry leaders from around the globe. Through his work, David aims to equip and empower churches, fostering growth and connection within the international church community.
